It is up to you. Do you want the extra features that are boasted? Do want to have fun with your phone? Are you willing to spend the money to obtain it? You want to provide aura of hope and good will without giving them a false sense of optimism. Leukemia comes in many forms some more lethal than others. Educate yourself on your friends form of Leukemia and dont be afraid to let them be sad sometimes, yes its hard, but is it better to share their pain and be there for them or tell them something that is not true and get their hopes up so you can avoid a difficult situation. Be a good listener and your friend will gently show you what they need from you. Just clear your mind and dont go in with preconceived notions. Dont overthink this, just get down there hold your friends hand and listen to them. Then respond with what seems best.

Let your friend know you are there for them to help and support them. Realize they are going through a tough time especially if they need chemotherapy. They may not want you or anyone around at certain times make sure you do not take this personally and do your best to respect their wishes. Remember, leukemia is cancer of the bone marrow. The most common treatment is chemotherapy which can cause a lot of outward physical changes in your friend that they don`t want their friends to see.
